Livin’ on the Edge

Happy Talk Like a Pirate Day to yer. Arr!

Yesterday evening after coming home from school and involuntarily passing out on the couch for thirty minutes, I decided to go back out and go shopping. This was pretty unusual because on weeknights I only leave my house when I absolutely have to.

But I wanted to get some Max supplies. I needed more litter and I wanted to get some of those sticky strips so I could booby-trap the computer desk. He keeps jumping up on it and I don’t want him to. I also ended up getting some litter box liners (which I would normally say are a waste of money because you can just use garbage bags, but I haven’t figured out how to make a garbage bag fit this new litter box correctly.) And I got a window shelf for Max. Ned never used the one I got for him, so I got rid of it. Max sits on the bare window sill a lot, so maybe he’ll like it.

Target was right next door, so I went there for some little birthday presents for a co-worker. I also finally got a present for my niece Anna. It’s been a long time since I just shopped around. My impulse buys included a bag of mini candy bars for our teacher room and a pack of Trident gum in a new flavor I hadn’t tried before. I spent $16.09 at Target, but it was way more fun than getting pet supplies. I was browsing! Awesome!

My delightful purchases.

Ha! I see Ned! He’s wondering, “What is that stuff all over that other cat? He looks strange.”

I thought those bags were much smaller, matey, until I saw the Max for scale.

See? He likes the window perch already!

    Arrrgh.

Curious, smart Max seems to love his presents! He should be alot of fun at Christmas…I hope you plan on doing a stocking for him.

But can we see some pictures of him on the perch?

    Landlubbers!
