Yesterday after church I talked with Beth on the phone. She mentioned that they were having waffles for lunch. It sounded yummy to me, so I went to IHOP. I got Pumpkin Pancakes because Michele is always saying how good they are. She was right. They are possibly the tastiest pancakes I’ve ever had.
After gorging myself on breakfast foods, I could easily have fallen asleep, but I wanted to do something active. I wanted to go hiking. I searched on the internet for some local trails and found out there was a little trail in a park that wasn’t very far from me at all. In fact, this park is still inside the Baltimore beltway. It’s called Double Rock Park. I went there immediately, before I had time to pass out on the couch.
The trail follows a stream through a woods. Tons of fallen leaves made the trail hard to follow. Fortunately, there were paint markers on the trees. It was also a little scary because the sun was at a low angle, making the forest seem sinister, but I had invited Denis to come along. That would decrease my odds of being attacked by 50%. If he was attacked first, I could run away …to get help, I mean.
Who are you? The Brad I know would never go hiking when there is an opportunity to nap. However, he would think to bring along a
decoyfriend.This isn’t the Brad you know. He’s an imposter.
It took me a long time to find Denis in the picture.
Unfortunately, as is customary in our “find the person” pictures, Denis was not picking his nose like he was supposed to.
Yeah for breakfast! Yeah for pretty leaves!
Yeah for getting exercise (after eating too much) !!!
I prefer a nap after eating!
