Welcome to Brad's online memory archives.

Huh?

I get most of my news from the local talk radio station. I officially stopped listening to music on the radio about three or four years ago. Now it’s all talk radio all the time. My main station is WBAL. I also go to their website often. It’s in the sidebar of my webpage –>.

When I listen to the radio, I particularly enjoy Ron Smith. On his webpage, the stories he links to can keep me busy for hours at a time. I read the article, then the comments on that article, then the articles from that same website… it’s internetastic!

I went to the WBAL website yesterday morning and had a good laugh. Check out the headline:

What?

You can read the story HERE, but since the story probably will not stay online forever, you can read it from a larger sized picture HERE.

This is the second funny headline I’ve seen on WBAL. The first one was about a year ago. It said “Police Recruit Dead”. Apparently, the headline writer meant the word “recruit” to be a noun. I personally feel that we could use some more zombie police in Baltimore.

    Only two?

(That was literally my first thought after reading the headline.)

That’s a ready made headline ripe for posting on my very favorite website Fark.com! Normally the snarkiness needs to be added by the subby, but sometimes they just write themselves.

What? You ask for a sample? Here’s one from the day afte the election – “In the first full day after Obama was elected to be President, Illinois Evening Pick 3 lottery number drawn was 6-6-6. Could it be….Satan?”

    Enjoy the thread. http://forums.fark.com/cgi/fark/comments.pl?IDLink=4000438

Bummer – Someone already submitted that link as a thread… 🙁

Prince George’s county! That’s our old county! Those are our old dead! Ah, good times…

…or one could interpret those five words as if two souls who had been lost were finally located but, alas, too late.

Might want to send that one in to Jay Leno. Every Monday night he hits goofy headlines submitted from around the country (not that I’m up late enough to hear them once August hits, but they are generally funny). You could have your 15 seconds of fame there, Brad!

Excellent! And how fititng at Halloween! Do you think the headline was intentional?

I’m off to Getttysburg to see how many ghosts I can find. Muaahhhh!

(I’ve always loved Dand Carvey Karla)
