Welcome to Brad's online memory archives.

Normalizing…

I had a wonderfully uneventful day. After some quick work in the garden, I did a little looking for teacher shoes. I saw only one prospect, but have other places to look first.

Upon arriving home, I ate a little bit and settled in to watch the opening mini-series for Torchwood. It was very emotional. Denis was out playing tennis, so I could cry all I want and no one would make fun of me. It was great to use one of my giant mugs again. My ice crusher was clogged with condensed ice, so I had to go with cubes, but tomorrow I’ll enjoy a delightful mugful of ice chewing.

Now if there just was some way to block GEICO commercials... Oh, wait! I can fast forward!

Max was very happy for me to be sitting on the couch for a couple hours. He gladly joined me. I’m still not quite used to him again, after living with skeletal cats for so long. Max is ginormous. It almost hurts my back to pick him up. After a few weeks of free-for-all eating, I’m afraid it’s back to rationed food.

Sleep well, my little Max, for tomorrow you diet.

No luck here in the school shoe department this month either. In fact, most July’s I get a new pair of Easy Spirit shoes, but this year, I am not even sure that company still exists – better go on-line quickly; it’s already the 28th! Anywho, I know how much you rely on the shine from a new pair to mesmerize your students on Day One, so I do wish you success there. I figure this fall we can use all the hypnotizing gimics (sp.) we can get.

Meanwhile, condolences to Max on the need to diet again. Watch that yo-yoing, youngster; it’s not good for ya’! Wanna go on the treadmill with me some morning? You might like it! Then maybe you can keep kibbling so long as your metabolism is up…? I’m just saying…

Clarks – 2 for $100.00 sale (selected styles though, but when I did this last year, pretty good selection).

    • Carol

Do they sell Clarks individually? I mean, could one buy just one for, say, $50?

      …..oOoh!…………….never mind!

Maybe Max could be the spokesperson for some weight-loss plan like Jenny Craig. Then the whole nation could support his endeavors.

I missed the Torchwood marathon, dang it. I also missed the Doctor Who premiere, but I finished watching it on YouTube. God bless YouTube.

Maybe Max should consider opening his own feline weight management clinic – “Fe-line Fine” or “Purr-fectly Fit” or something catchy and cat-related. Then he could sell the franchise licenses and be absolutely rolling in the kitty treats!

      • Beth

Um. Isn’t kitty treats what got him in this predicament in the first place?

Or is the “rolling” supposed to be the management technique?

        Heh.

So…the whole fast-forwarding comment. You were rubbing in your DVRing to Lauren, weren’t you?

    • Lauren

He can keep his dumb DVR. Commercials give me a good two minutes to race around and do something. (When I actually watch t.v. anymore, that is. Computers never have commercials.)

Now wait just a minute Brad…Max is looking pretty solid…I think that’s all muscle…I think Max was lifting weights while you were gone.

    You are a stud Max!!!!
