Starting Small

I have a ton of home projects that I want to do this summer, but now that I’m home I’m feeling kind of lazy. I decided to start with something easy.

My kitchen faucet has been in trouble for a while. When I originally installed it, I didn’t seal the bottom, so water has been leaking in. It’s left some water bumps on the floor of the cabinet. The faucet has also come unscrewed or loose where it swivels. The whole thing felt like it was getting ready to break off or something. So I got a new one. Six months ago. I got the new faucet and the silicone sealant and sat them on the countertop. Then on a chair. Then in a cabinet.

Yesterday I finally put it in. It works fine. And there’ll be no more leaking water.

It looks exactly like the old one.

Well. If you buy some paint for your upstairs, perhaps by next summer it will have graduated to the cabinet and then make its way to the “Done” list.

    Ha! Nicely placed mirror. 🙂

I’d say your procrastination paid off. They say that you’re supposed to let faucets sit in your house to acclimate before installation anyway. Wait, that’s hardwood flooring.

Ha! You are on fire today!

I’d like to second that “Ha!” for the mirror.

That’s where that mirror was actually sitting. I only noticed my face in it after the first couple of pictures. Then, of course, I had to take seventeen more to get my pose right.

It’s so cute!! Love it! But I can’t believe that you didn’t get one with the pull off sprayer. It’s my favorite gadget. (well, one of my favorites…)

Yay for doing something productive! I’m on my way…but unfortunatley all my project materials are still in the cabinet, which I accidently locked & lost the key. Darn.
