Joe’s and Tom’s

I’m trying a new deodorant. I ran out the other day and actually went a day without. Nothing happened. It almost makes me want to try it again. If I didn’t have to put deodorant on in the morning, I’d regain seconds of my life every day.

Anyway, I needed to get more of my specialty tree-hugger deodorant. I went to Trader Joe’s, thinking I could get flax and deodorant at the same time. They had flax, but no deodorant of any kind. Dang. It was a school night, and I didn’t want to bounce from store to store looking for my brand. I should’ve just gone to the CVS next to my house, but I was trying to stop at a place that was directly on my way home. There was a SuperFresh across the street from Trader Joe’s. I went there. They didn’t have my brand, but they did have a variety of Tom’s of Maine that I hadn’t seen before. I had stopped using Tom’s of Maine because it was burny, but I decided to give this new kind a go.

So far, so good…

Now with hops.

Perhaps you could apply some false holly blossoms to your underarms if this doesn’t work out. You’ll smell mysteriously delightful!

  2. Lloyd says:

Maybe some sort of flax-paste would work? Isn’t the primary thing that deodorant does clog your pours so that sweat can’t get out?

I’m glad nothing happened…hehe. But here’s something you may useful, just in case you’re ever not quite sure if something is happening…

    Several reflections while reading:
    1. “I ran out the other day and actually went a day without.” Trying to relive your middle school years, eh? That is particularly risky considering your classroom is tight above the BOILER ROOM – cheese and crackers!
    2. On first glance, I thought you said you stopped using Tom’s of Maine because it was bunny instead of burny. And, somehow, that seemed – for you, at least – a logical reason to cease purchasing a product.
    3. Love Lauren’s suggestion – have you tried to do that yet?
