Shasta Strawberry

I’ve found it! It was back in September that I first smelled the delicious strawberry fragrance of the California Scents brand. I’ve looked for it on and off since then. I’ve found displays of the cans, but never any strawberry.

Yesterday I was at Lowe’s and decided to walk by their air freshener shelf. They’ve always had California Scents, but it was always one picked over box that only had “new car smell” or something. Yesterday, they had three new boxes on the shelf. And they had strawberry! Woo hoo!

I got two. I’ve opened one and put it in my entryway. It was really cold in my house yesterday, so the scent didn’t spread very well. I’m looking forward to a deliciously sweet entryway for the next 60 days (if they really do last that long).

It smells so sweet you almost need to brush your teeth.

Yay! Quest conquered! It’s too bad you didn’t like ‘Laguna Breeze’, because the truck stops in Missouri were chock-full of that scent.

I remember the pop Shasta. It was so sugary!

Dang it, when will they invent scratch & sniff computer screens!

(Scratch N Sniff…nope, that’s no better that way…what an awful phrase when you think about it)

Let me know when you find a bacon scent … or beef roast with potatos and carrots scent (that’s what we had for dinner!)

It’s organic, y’know, so it must have bugs in it.

…so, this really isn’t the soda then?

Bummer. Now that would have been a find! ‘Specially in Lowe’s.

…and what sort of air freshener isn’t “spillproof” anyway? This is a big sales point for them??

Enjoy your entryway, but unless the can gets direct sunlight during our current arctic blast I doubt you’ll smell much strawberry … unless you smear the gel right under your nose like Vicks Vaporub. Hmmm…

Thanks, Dave. I would love to be rewarded with free samples. 🙂 And actually, I could find the cans of air freshener… it was just the strawberry I had trouble locating. It must be a popular scent.

I liked the tips section on your website. I’ll try the suggestions mentioned there.
