Yesterday was a bit of a blur. I woke up before 4am (9am London time), took a longer time than usual to finish my computer stuff, and headed to school. The school day flew by. It felt a little dream-like. After school I had a few things to do before leaving for home. And suddenly it was 5:30pm (10:30pm London time). I was feeling a little loopy by then.

Upon coming home, I walked in the garden. The week I was gone was a hot one. Everything really leafed out in my absence. I completely missed seeing my tulips. All that’s left is stems. There are some shrubs I had wanted to prune before they started growing. Too late. But I’ll still prune them. The weeds are out of control. It’s beyond the pulling stage. I’ll be using poison on them. I love weed killer in a giant spray tank…

I did at least get back in time for the blooming of the redbud tree. Yay! It has so many flowers on it they look like pink leaves. Cool.

It almost looks like something from Dr. Seuss.

Wow – it is SO green there! We are just past the beginning stages of spring. I’ve been taking the preschoolers on walks to notice how things are changing, and the neighbor’s tulips just might open up today. Would you like to come to Nebraska so you can see them?

That’s an excellent suggestion. Expect me for dinner tomorrow.

(Wouldn’t it be awesome if I could just do that? Travel whenever the heck I felt like it? I really need to win the lottery or something.)

Mega Milions on Tuesdays and Fridays; Power Ball on Monday and Thursday. Don’t ask me how I would know these things. (…but I’m wondering if Uncle Sam takes lottery tickets as payment on April 15th…)

Where are the weeds? If they’re growing among your real plants, won’t the weed killer kill them too? This is important because that’s one reason I don’t like gardening…I HATE weeding…but if I could just shoot & kill…well, who wouldn’t love that?

    • Carol

Yea…who doesn’t love the “shoot and kill”…?? You’re scaring me, Pegster!

    I’ve been guarding this clover
    For over a week,
    Getting laughed at
For thinking a dust speck can speak.
    Well, let them all laugh
    I’ll try not to mind,
    For I have found something
    That they’ll never find!

There are secrets on a leaf,
In the water, in the air,
    Hidden planets, tiny worlds,
    All invisible!
Not a person seems to know.
Not a person seems to care.
There is no one who believes a thing I say…

    Well, I’m fairly certain
    At one time or other,
Great thinkers all feel this way!

That is hilarious. Lloyd and I were reading that and I said, “I don’t know that, what’s it from?” He said, “I don’t know it either, but it sounds vaguely ‘Horton hears a Who-ish’.” Google search: Bam!

      Hee hee!
