The flight home was much easier than the flight there. I think it was the time of day and the daylight. I wasn’t trying to get a night’s-worth of sleep on the airplane. The way the airport was set up, I could get a picture of our actual plane. Here it is:
During our approach to BWI airport, I could see Baltimore. I recognized the Francis Scott Key Bridge. I took a picture to remind me to find out what the hexagonal little island next to the bridge is. I’ve seen it before, but never remember to search the internet. It’s an old abandoned man-made fort. Cool.
I am really glad to be home. I missed it. But I will also miss London. It was really fun.
I will miss its oddly-shaped urinals:
I will miss its high-fashion adds that have Hermione in them.
But most of all, I will miss the nice voice in the elevator that spoke to me each time I used it. I wish all the automatic doors I used announced when they were opening and closing.
Sorry it’s so hard to hear. The elevator always had other people in it.
I only got one recording.
I love the photos of odd things!! Hooray! If you have more of those, definitely post them.
Another ‘hooray’ for making it home safely. Do British planes fly on the other side of the sky? That would take time to get used to.
Did you have to go to school today?
Doors with Genuine People Personalities? Now I’m jealous.
I just wasted a portion of my life skimming this:

But it’s really pretty cool. And has neat pictures.
That was pretty cool.
YAY for making it home safely & having a great trip!!
And of all the things I impressed myself with this past weekend, beating that plane back to MD was my greatest!
Haha!
An explanation for our studio audience: Peggy and I talked on the phone when I was at my layover in New York. She was also in New York and was just leaving to drive back home to Baltimore. And she got home first! She drove faster than our plane flew!
One of these days you’re going to get a ticket, Peggy. If the police can catch you. 😉
Since one of the old dorms at the College Formerly Known as River Forest used to be a males’ dorm and was converted to use by females when the need arose, those urinals looked oddly familiar. Could it be that the dorm had European plumbing all those years?? (I had a friend who thought they were courteous to install special hair washers for people like herself with long hair…I am not making this up…)
