Baltimore has one of those architectural reclamation places. You know, where they salvage stuff from old houses and sell it for cheap? It’s called Second Chance. It’s in downtown Baltimore right next to the football stadium. I went yesterday.
It’s super cool. It has four separate warehouses, each with a specialty. My favorite was Warehouse 1. It’s where all the unique and amazing things were… I particularly liked the face and scrollwork off the facade of a building. It was hunormous and cost $10,000. I didn’t have the presence of mind to take a picture of it. HERE is a picture from their website.
The kitchen warehouse had reclaimed countertop pieces. There was a marble one that was the perfect size for a bench seat. It was only $35. I got it for the firepit.
(I have got to stop spending money.)
Now you have someplace to roll out your pastry dough too.
Dang it, Lloyd! That was my comment!
Your cheeks will be plenty cool. That is a GREAT idea! Totally worth the $35.
Are you going to enter their DIY contest?
Dang it, Lloyd….that was my comment too!
But I love the outdoor kitchen Brad it creating….one piece at a time. Excellent!
