Hotel Night

At a school auction, Lloyd and Lauren got a gift card to Embassy Suites in Lincoln. What that meant? Hotel night! Woo hoo! My parents and the Pesters and Lloyd and Lauren all spent the night in this most awesome hotel. My mom requested a corner room and ended up staying in a super-suite. It was very roomy and extra nice.

We stayed down the hallway in a regular suite, which was also very nice. Both rooms were on the ninth floor.

Vertigo! *jibblie* *jibblie*

The hotel has a great pool, which Tara and Tim enjoyed. It also has an awesome event where you get free drinks during happy hour. They also offer free munchies. We were excited to see a big taco and burrito bar, but found out it was for the conference people who were staying with us.
Mmm... Warm foods...

It turns out that our munchies were a little more humble:
Chips and olives.

But we ordered a bunch of appetizers from the restaurant and ended up making a delicious meal of it. Free drinks from the bar and tasty appetizers! It was a winning combination!

I say that we should demand free tacos for breakfast since we were denied them last night. Just kidding, everything has been fabulous! This place is like Disneyland for me – great food and rides! That elevator is all that I’ll ever need.

Oh, wait – free breakfast is coming! Woo-hoo!

Free drinks??? They should change the name of that hour to Ecstatic Hour!

    Enjoy your free breakfast!

It was called, “The Hotel which shall not be Named.”

Um, never mind. I’m going to have to start reading the first sentence more carefully from now on.

Your snapshots reminded me of at least one trade show [when we had our shop] held in an Embassy Suites somewhere. Venders would have things hung from the balconies to lure retailers to them…personally, I wondered what the suicide or accidental death rate might be from those overhangs (I’d get the jibblies too!). Love the greenery – almost like being outside but without the bugs, no? Glad y’all got to take advantage of the luxury together – nice cap to the vacation, I’d say!
