Good-Bye Party

Happy Birthday, Dad! Woo hoo! AND it’s Father’s Day. This convergence surely doesn’t happen that often, but my quick search of the internet doesn’t tell me how often, and I’m not sure how to find out. But what a fun day! Yay!

Yesterday was my good-bye party for my friends from school. Since I’m not coming back, I decided to have a party for myself and invite my co-workers. Some people weren’t able to come, because this is a really busy time of year with graduation parties and summer trips and stuff, but a bunch of people did come, and it was really fun to see them. I can’t believe how nice the weather has been lately. I took several people on tours of the garden. Otherwise, we just hung out and talked and laughed. It was a really fun time.

I was so glad to have my family here. They really helped get the party together. Tara and Tim helped deflate the air mattress.
I told them they looked like a taco.

My mom and sister did a great job getting the food table ready. Beth made some amazing cheesecake bites, and I don’t even like cheese cake. (It’s forever tied to an awful bout of stomach flu)
So many kinds of deliciousness.

How nice that you served niece-and-nephew tacos – some people get really hungry at those parties!

I bet people liked seeing your garden up close and personal. If they followed your website, I’m sure they were curious about it. Does your meat flower still smell like meat?

    Happy Fathirthday to your Dad!

Excellent all around!! In what container are the cheese bites? Oddly enough, even though I’m a cheese hater…..I love cheesecake….go figure. I made need the recipe for the cheese bites. And are those Rice Krispie treats I see….Yummy!!

Yay for a fantastic party! And may the celebrations continue today!

Happy Birthday Mr. Royuk (I mean Ron) and Happy Father’s Day too (and to Harold)!

[Wow, those cheese cake bites were Beth’s?! She could have her own show on the Food Network! EXcellent!!]

Indeed, congratulations on making yet another natal anniversary, Mr. Ron (that’s a Baltimore friendly-yet-respectful greeting, BTW)! It was wonderful seeing you, Elaine, Beth, Harold, and the oh-so-cute-yet-silent Tara and Tim all up close and personal. Even better was hearing the peace you have now, Brad, after your whirlwind tour of the home of Shell’s BBQ; I’m so glad you decided to go after all. Selfishly, even gladder (yes, I know that’s not a real word…) you’ll not need to pack up yesterday and high-tail it outta Dodge just yet. Looking forward to perhaps another summer dump run (our motto: we always have stuff in the basement we haven’t used in years – let’s haul it outta here for good this time)…a consult on the front garden plant choices…any other opportunities to celebrate and get together with mutual friends. But next time there are commestibles, please: no elementary-age taco fillings; they tend to repeat on me. Thank you.
