Inconceivable

I’ve been robbed again! This time, someone took plants out of a pot by my front steps. I had just planted them a few days ago! Ugh. Who does that? Who takes plants out of pots? It’s so paradoxical. Flowers are beautiful. Stealing is ugly. Stealing flowers? I don’t know how the person kept their mind from being broken.

Such a vicious act.

I will get some new impatiens for the empty pot. If I leave the pot blank – if I stop planting flowers – then the thief will already have won.

I am flabbergasted. Why? Why just the flowers? Are you going to go on a walk and see if you see the stolen plants blooming somewhere? Are you going to leave a note in the new plantings that says, “What’s wrong with you? Do you need a ride to Lowe’s?”

    Flabbergasted.

I’ve been watching a lot of Antenna TV shows this summer, including “Dennis the Menace”, and I have to wonder if some little kid just needed beautiful flowers to brighten a sick parent or grandparent’s day but the pot was too heavy to carry so he just unearthed your impatients and carried them off, leaving the pot behind….at least, I’d rather think that’s what really happened…grrrrrrrrrrr…..

Let’s try to look at this in a positive light.
    1. At least they didn’t just dump the pot over and smash the plants or pull them out and toss them about the yard. Someone took care when removing them.
    2. You may have sparked a horticultural interest in someone and have now created another lover of plants somewhere in your neighborhood. It’s just unfortunate that they decided to use YOUR plants to get the ball rolling.

Now I am off to vent and pout and get angry. I am so sorry this happened to you.

Dang, that stinks big time Brad! I’d like to think an animal did it, but how could an animal be that neat…unless it was Bugs Bunny….or Wile E. Coyote…Beep, beep!

And I can’t understand why the thief didn’t take all the flowers or why they left the pot. This crime is quite puzzling.

Time to setup a camera and catch the thief green handed. Get it, “green” handed.
