Cleaning

I see the same people each morning on my way to and from exercising. I also see the same sights. The more I walk the route from my house to the gym, the more familiar I am with it, and the more I’m feeling like it’s my territory. There is a lot of trash on Harford Road. It bothers me. One of these days, I might have to do something about it… maybe carry a trash bag and pick stuff up along the way or something. I’ll need some gloves for that.

Last week, I noticed a grocery store shopping cart that had been taken far away from the grocery store. Why would someone do that? It made the sidewalk look particularly trashy. I told myself that if I saw it still there this week, I’d return it. The grocery store is in the same shopping center as the gym, so it would be little trouble to return it. Monday I was on the other side of the street and forgot. Yesterday I took it back.

Now about the trash on the sidewalk…

The grocery store is on the right side of the road at the top of the hill.

May I live vicariously through you? For years I have wanted to do just that along the 7/10 mile stretch of Hamilton Avenue that runs near our home: take the trash and recycling bag with me on a walk down and back. Have I done it yet? Shame on me, no – but I can cheer you on now! Go, Environmental Man (new super hero?)!! 🙂

Good for you, Clean Man! That’s not a good superhero name. We’ll have to work on it. The Restorer? Whatever your name, I think that Hartford Road is better for your being there. What does the narrator say during the Veggie Tales hairbrush song? “Yes, good has been done here…..”

Again with the rain, though. It’s like you’re bragging.

I agree Lauren – you took the words out of my mouth. It’s like he’s rubbing his awesomeness in our face!
In the rain? Dude, there was a perfect excuse not to exercise (one I would have made), but it didn stop you! You’re like the postal service!
We must come up for the perfect superhero name for you … and an outfit!

It amazes me that you walk to the gym, no short distance, exercise….then walk home.

I could walk to the gym……but then that would be my whole workout. No gym, & I’d take the bus home.

You go Brad! (I wonder whose morning your making by seeing you walk each day)
