I had my former co-workers Brady and Chris and their families over to my house last night. I got a nice fire going in the fire pit, and we roasted hot dogs and marshmallows. It was really fun. I hadn’t realized that neither one of them had been in my house. It was fun to show the place off. And it was a great excuse to get things straightened up and cleaned. The food tasted good. I think I will be doing this more often, especially since it’s getting cooler (Yay for cooler weather!).
Just for fun, I got some “jumbo” marshmallows. We all had to try cooking them. It required a lot of patience to melt it all the way through. Brady did the best job of it. He decided to eat his jumbo marshmallow as a s’more. It looked weird on the graham cracker because it was so big.
After their kids were full of sugar, everyone went home. You’re welcome, Brady. You’re welcome, Chris.
Ha! ‘You’re welcome’, indeed. 😀
I’ve never made homemade graham crackers before, but it certainly seems that constructing giant ones to make giant s’mores would be an excellent thing to try.
Maybe you could use a pie crust for the giant s’more???
HA! That super s’more is hilarious!
And I was just saying last night that is was a perfect night for an outdoor fire! Hopefully there’ll be plenty more nights like it ahead!
