Fall Updates

Fall has fell. Wait, is that an expression? I hear people say “Spring has sprung” all the time, but “Fall has fell”? Anyway, the leaves are beautiful right now. I think they won’t be lasting much longer. I am enjoying them as much as I can right now. Walking back from the gym in the morning is a delight. I like stopping to look at the sugar maples, even if it makes me look a little crazy.
This picture is from two days ago. Half the leaves are gone now.

In my garden, the Osmanthus heterophyllus is blooming. The sweet-smelling flowers send their powerful fragrance far. I smell them almost every time I walk out my door. Awesome!
Watch out for those thorny leaves if you're going to stick your nose in there.

I thought I should document how tall the banana trees are this year. Their trunks partially survived the mild winter we had last year, so they have gotten really tall.
Two and a half Brads tall?

Denis took my picture with the banana tree, so I wondered about getting a new picture for the “Me” page of Bradaptation. While I was at it, I could update my Gravatar and Facebook pictures. Here is my favorite smiling picture:
Is that the tropics? No. Its my back yard!

He took a picture when I wasn’t ready. I think it looks a lot more like me than the smiling picture. I want to use it instead of the smiling one, but does a non-smiling picture seem unfriendly?
This is what Brad looks like.

I made a face for one of my pictures. I am using it for my Gravatar.
Your comment amuses me.

Your second picture is your “Whu?” face. 😉

That banana tree is crazy! It looks like when kids stick regular stuff in with their toys – it’s a houseplant and you’re a little plastic figurine.

Are you hunkered down for the storm?

Fall has fell! Excellent! If it wasn’t a quip, it is now.

And the fall colors are just gorgeous this year! It sure makes the ride to work & back delightful. Especially when the sun hits them just right, illuminating the leaves….it’s like the trees are glowing….hopefully I won’t crash admiring God’s handywork.
