Debbie had a gathering at her house yesterday. It was sort of a send-off party for me. It’s a busy time of year, but several people were able to stop by and hang out. It was fun. Many of them wore Hawaiian shirts. Ha! It didn’t occur to me to wear mine. They also brought Hawaiian-themed foods.

Michele made Spam and pineapple delights:
I also got some gifts. Some of them were school supplies. Some of them were Maryland-themed so I would remember where I was from. Some of them were about Hawaii, so I would know about where I was going. There was even one book featuring my Midwestern roots.
That is delightful!! Well done, Debbie and friends! What a great idea to make it a Hawaiian party! The snacks look delicious. I could eat those Hawaiian delights for breakfast right now.
I am so curious about that Midwesterners book. Is it true? Is every page true??
Ha! Those gifts are awesome! I’m bummed I had to miss the luau. 🙁
It’s still hard to believe you’re going to Hawaii. HAWAII! But I have to say that I am most happy for you because you’ll be teaching again….doing what you love & what you do best!! (and ok fine, I’m a little envious of the location)
