Snapshots

Yesterday during my meal break, my mom sent a text of her at the beach.

So beautiful.

So beautiful.

My parents are visiting Florida right now for a friend’s birthday. I’m not sure exactly where they are, but I’m guessing it’s in the 70’s there during the day.

Since my mom sent a picture, I sent one too:

...that feeling you're being watched...

…that feeling you’re being watched…

The break room at work has big wall decals of elephants and gorillas because the owner of my workplace has made some trips to Africa to help animals there.

It was a group text, so Beth sent a picture too:

Snow!

Snow!

Snow on the ground! And more snow was headed their way yesterday. We had some freezing rain over night, but it’s supposed to be warm during the day today, so by the time I go to work it should all just be water.

Your Mom is indeed lovely – not that I’m all that many years behind her, but I doubt I look anywhere near as good now. Beth is cute, too – love the windblown hair effect near the snowy window. Now, as for the pachyderm…I mean the frightened-looking human…thanks for the morning giggle. [I need a ferocious-looking animal on the wall behind my desk at school – perhaps students summoned over for a “chat” would take my messages more seriously if they appeared to be backed by a lethal predator of some sort.]

Awww….. it’s like visiting with the Royuks! Hi, everybody!

That pic of you and the elephant made me cough coffee into my nose. SO funny! But now my nose feels weird…

    Hi Beth! And Mrs. Royuk!

Haha! I LOVE all those pictures!

Is it hard to eat your lunch with such big animals all around begging for food?
