Welcome to Brad's online memory archives.

One Dollar at a Time

Well, we narrowly averted another snow apocalypse yesterday. The weather forecasters have really over estimated the snow by a lot the last couple of times. I’m beginning to doubt their powers.

It was still a busy day at work. I find that when I’m busy, I crave candy. I also crave candy when I’m not busy. Unfortunately, there is a machine at work that is full of candy. I visit it often, dang it. I keep telling myself I shouldn’t eat candy, but if I’m going to eat candy, I should at least go to a bulk store and buy a giant box of it so it would be cheaper than the machine stuff. But I keep not listening to myself.

There is no Twix in it because I had just bought the last one.

Your self should have a talk with my self. There is a jar at work that is full of candy and my resistance is l*o*w.

Do you want me to punch that machine for you?

  2. Lloyd

You should give yourself a stern talking to.

    Selves are so dang stubborn.

I buy a soda at work everyday instead of bringing my own. Stupid. I tell my self when I’m in the grocery store not to buy soda in bulk because I plan to stop drinking soda all together. Then every day at 1pm, it’s soda time!

Amen, Peggy. Only it’s 2pm for me. 🙁

Did you choose a martini glass for your icon here, Jill, or is this image just coincidental?

(Brad – Angie Sharp’s system clock in her classroom now says 5:00 all the time – she says she’s considering bringing in her margarita maker…)

I didn’t choose it, Carol, but I approve the martini reference. 😉

What are those cute little-orange-lunch-boxy looking things hanging on the wall?

    • Brad

They’re in case of a fire. They’re gas mask thingies that help screen out smoke.

How clever of somebody to put a bulletin board border around the candy. That just makes it even more appealing. Bad person. Very bad person.
