Piano

When the fire happened, I took it as an opportunity to get rid of my old piano. It was a worn out old studio piano that had lived a full life. One time when the tuner came, he said to me: “That’s all I can do.” Since the fire cleanup people were hauling things away, I asked them to take the piano.

I missed having a piano. I had been looking in Craigslist, but hadn’t seen something I wanted. Until now. I got a new used piano! It’s a full-sized upright with a nice sound and a pretty cabinet. I did pay for it, but it was pretty cheap. Paying a company to move it added to the price, but it was worth it. I have a piano again! Woo hoo!

Now if I can just find my piano music in one of the boxes marked “Miscellaneous”…

The Gus is for scale.

Wow, that is a really beautiful instrument! Does it sound nice? Video, please.

By the way, I would have sent you my piano, but it’s busy holding my mail.

Happy day! [Gus apparently loves the new piano, too. Maybe he’s hoping you’ll give him lessons. Granted, he will be hard pressed to operate the foot pedals, but at least he can make one of those cute kitty-on-the-piano videos you always see posted on YouTube.]

(Whew! When I first read the caption I thought it said “The Gus is for sale.” Of course, that would be ridunkulous…)

What a great acquisition!! I love the detail work on the front of it.

I would love to be able to play the piano….besides Heart & Soul. I mean I can really belt out that song….and it makes me feel like a musician. My favorite part is the bottom….playing with 2 hands….I’m amazing!
