Aquarium Dreams

A while back, I got an aquarium from a client at work. It is a beautiful bow-front aquarium… maybe 45 gallons or so. It sat in storage for a while, but I have finally cleaned it.

I cleaned it on the porch, because it was dirty work.

It looks small in the picture because it’s next to a giant houseplant. The top of the aquarium comes up to my chest.

I am currently deciding where to put it in my house. I’d like to put it in the living room for maximum enjoyment. Not counting sleeping time, the living room is where I spend most of my time. I also have to decide what to put in it, but that decision is down the road a ways. I have to get the nitrogen cycle going before I can stock it.

You’re going to have an aquarium again? But didn’t you have to send your previous fish to a farm so they could run free?

This is what was going through my own head, Lauren….except for the “running free” part. Well, enjoy the new indoor fishies – hope the pond fishies don’t get jealous of the beautiful new digs.
