On Sunday morning, on my way up the driveway to the church parking lot, I heard a weird noise that corresponded to my wheels turning. I got out of my truck and took a look.
There was a bolt stuck into my tire. It even had a washer on it.
After church I changed the tire. Fortunately, I have a full-sized spare that is in good condition. Also fortunately, the bolt is stuck into the tread part of the tire, so it should be fixable. Now I just need to get to the tire repair shop.
Holy. Cow. I would not have thought that was possible. Ask them to save it when they take it out and show us a picture!!
You do have the worst luck with tires!
Wow! Good thing it had a washer on it. 🙂
Hmmm…that would take studded tires to a whole different level.
One time driving through a hay field when I was a kid, I found a rake tine in the truck tire. “What’s that clunking noise?” I drove about a half mile on it so I could get back to the machine shop.
