Last night was the first choir practice at my new church. I am very excited about being in choir. I will get to know more people from church, and I will get to sing. I love that!
I was also exited to see that the director was having us learn some brand-spanking-new music.

When I was a choir director 100 years ago, I bought a lot of new music. Part of it was insecurity – I tried to break from the past by not doing many of the tried-and-true pieces of my predecessors. Part of it was that I really enjoyed hearing new music and buying pieces that worked for the group of singers I had.

Awesome! I am so glad that you jump in to be a part of your community – that shows dedication. Maybe some Sunday you chould record the singing with your phone so we can hear it! (I see a time change in that piece, though, so be careful.)
This is great! I know how much you like to sing. Is the service still broadcast on Sunday mornings? What time? I’ll have to listen for the choir on the radio while I’m driving home from church.
