Unusual Practice

Last night was choir practice. I knew something special was happening, because practice was starting earlier than usual, but I have to admit I didn’t really know what was going on.

When I walked into the church, I was even more confused. There were a bunch of people there that I didn’t know. They were filling the first pews if the church. Was this some kind of mass choir thing? Yes. Yes it was.

My church choir is involved in an annual Christmas concert called Holliday Brass. We will be singing in a giant cathedral for hundreds of people. I think I’ve actually been to this concert in the past. HERE is the link.

This was after practice was over.

I’m excited! I love singing! I love Christmas music!

It comforts me when other people have ‘what is happening?’ moments.

How fun that you got a start on the Christmas season without it being a tacky trees-and-tinsel-at-WalMart kind of experience! You can’t beat carols. 🙂

Nice! What songs will you be singing? And will you be wearing kilts?

And I love singing too….unfortunately, people don’t love hearing it.

Yes! Cathedral of Mary Our NiceladymomofJesus or something, right? That’s the concert where I first heard Highland Cathedral on bagpipes and it brought me to tears. (Now I must Google that and listen to it right away!) How exciting that you will get to be part of that! Be sure to tell us which night this is again so we won’t be hitting our foreheads the morning after wishing we had gone.
