Yesterday I left for school a little earlier than I have in the last week or so. As I pulled into the school parking lot, I was feeling really good about all the prep time I would have. Until I realized I had left my school keys at home. D’oh!
I sat in my truck and waited for one of my co-workers to arrive. Fortunately, there’s another early bird. She let me into school and my classroom, and I got myself ready for the day.
I can’t decide if I should change my school key protocols at home, or if this incident was inconvenient enough that I will remember my keys from now on.
You should break a key apart and hide the parts in various locations around the school.
Ha, Lloyd!
I stashed a secret key at our school, but I fret so much about it being found, I don’t know if it’s worth it. I used to keep one in my bag. Maybe work on a mind-control lock?
Also – hilarious title! (How long did you wait?)
Thirty minutes. It would have been shorter, but I had an early arrival yesterday.
I’ve done this m’self, sir. Drove all the way home – driven back when I couldn’t find them (never once thinking “Call Pam – she lives right up the street!) only to find the keys in my car the whole time. Talk about weeping and gnashing of teeth!
I’m thinkin’ you’ll remember from now on.
