Welcome to Brad's online memory archives.

Again

We went on a field trip yesterday. Since I would be gone all day, and since first quarter report cards are due today, I got to school extra early yesterday. I was there two and a half hours before school started. Lots of time!

But when I got to school, I didn’t have my school keys. AGAIN? AAAARRRGH!

It wasn’t because I didn’t check. I felt in my pockets before I left school. I was sure I felt keys, but it wasn’t keys. It was a debit card and a flash drive:

Not keys.

Not keys.

Going home wasn’t an option. By the time I would be back on the beltway, I’d be stuck in morning rush hour traffic. I decided to wait for my next co-worker to come. She would be arriving in an hour.

But I fell asleep and missed her. Her room is up on the second floor and I don’t have her number in my phone, so I had to wait for the next person to come. By the time they arrived, it was only 45 minutes til school. Dang. I didn’t make any significant progress.

Maybe I should just start wearing my school keys around my neck all the time.

ARRRGHHH!!! indeed! I am so sorry! Locked and and sleeping in your car like a homeless guy.

We got a catalog that has one of those boxes to lock your keys inside and then press a code to get in, like realtors do. Could you keep one of those in your truck with a set of spares? Or to throw through a window to get in?

    I’m sorry for your lose.

Are you trying to be funny? “Lose”?

Bum. Mer. As they say in the King James version, “That stinketh!”

Apparently you need to buy a Subaru with a “sandwich keeper” box on the front dashboard – that’s where I keep my keys 90% of the time. (I call it the sandwich keeper because of its size – heaven only knows if it has another special purpose – but I keep keys, chargers, mints, etc., in mine.) Then your keys would always be where your vehicle was – which works great until your husband borrows your car on a school day (which would not be your problem, I realize – and Gus doesn’t drive yet, does he?)

…and yes, I have “left my keys at home”, too…only to find them there at the end of the day…..grrrr….

    🙁

With that being said, someone needs to give you a good smack!

Wish I could give you a “Smack”……That’s A Big Kiss In Nebraska!!! 🙂
My solution is to not lock doors and then you can’t be locked out…..That’s Also A Nebraska Thing (Rural Nebraska, that is)……<3 Aunt Bev (^_^)
