I had to stop for gas yesterday and was surprised at the prices I saw. I usually don’t pay too much attention to gas prices, because there isn’t anything I can personally do to lower them, and because I have no choice but to buy gas. Unless I sell my house and buy a place right next to work, I have to drive. And as long as I have to drive, I have to buy gas. It seems like a waste of energy to think too much about gas prices.
But then yesterday, I saw that gas was two dollars ninety cents. Wow! I feel like I should just pump the bed of my pickup truck full and save that gas for later when prices go back up. It would be safe, wouldn’t it? I could cover it with some aluminum foil or something so it wouldn’t splash out.
‘Cover it with foil’? I laughed out loud! Maybe today is ‘fill up the vehicles’ day!
Lauren, I met you college roommate last night at our St. Paul Lutheran Church & School Gala. [Her sister, Amy, is the wife of our new School Principal, Todd Voss.] She was “Sweet”, JUST LIKE YOU!!! <3 Aunt Bev 🙂
I just saw Amy at the teachers’ conference! She and Todd are some of the best people you’ll ever meet! 🙂
