I went out into the fray yesterday. I love being in the Black Friday crowds. It’s like a giant party, and everyone’s invited!
My laptop has been acting up, so I thought I’d look around a little to see if I could find a replacement. I went to Best Buy to see what they had. I didn’t see any laptops I wanted to get. I hadn’t really done my homework, so I didn’t know what I was looking for anyway.
And then I went to the game section. My Xbox broke when I was in Maui, and I never replaced it. Game console companies don’t let stores discount their products, but the stores are allowed to bundle other things free with the price. Yesterday I saw a bundle I couldn’t refuse: Xbox One, a free game, and a free extra controller. I got it. Goodbye, free time. It was nice knowing you.
HA! “Good-bye, free time…” Didn’t you sort of say that when you went back into the classroom full-time anyway? 😉
If you get something new, will you consider some of the tablets out there? They are very light-weight so quite portable, and some seem able to do everything a laptop can with app. same memory, etc. ‘Course, I’m not Lloyd – he would naturally be a much wiser adviser in this area.

You are very brave to venture out, but I see that it paid off well for you. Enjoy getting lost in your adventure, sir! I was thinking about calling you sometime, but I see that it will have to wait until you’ve completed your mission. 😉
If you want a laptop with a long battery life, I believe I have a comprehensive list. The laptops are at the bottom.
Your wood floors are so beautiful! I need to come visit you and see your post fire-restoration house!
