I visited Peggy yesterday. I really wanted to get a present to her. I meant to give it to her before her surgery, but I got sick. It’s a poster of Bora Bora. She often talks about how she wants to visit there. I thought she could put it by her resting spot and feel like she was convalescing at the beach.

I can’t believe how well she is doing. I thought she’d be laid up in bed for weeks and weeks. She’s moving slowly and using a cane, but she walks all over her house… up and down stairs and everything. She said the pain is finally lessening too, which I was glad to hear. Her first night at the hospital was really bad, and her first week wasn’t good either.
She says she still has numbness in her feet, but the doctor said that will go away with time. Right now, it sounds like that is her biggest challenge. She is starting to feel well enough to go on short outings, but her numb feet means she can’t drive yet.
Keep those prayers coming! They’re doing wonders!
