Welcome to Brad's online memory archives.

Tenner

I went to Target for sundries, and as I was walking back out to my car, I saw a piece of trash in the parking lot median grass that looked peculiar. It was a ten dollar bill! How exciting! Free money!

The only drawback is that the bill was wet. I’m not sure if it had been in contact with the ground so long that it absorbed some moisture, or if there was something unsavory on it. I left the bill on the kitchen counter for now.

Maybe I’ll try to wash it. I’ve sent money through the laundry by accident before. Surely I could wash paper money on purpose if I did it by hand and with care. Hmmm…

Pretty crumpled.

Pretty crumpled.

    Score!

Yes, you can wash it – you don’t even have to be too careful with it. That paper has threads in it so it’s tough. As a kid, I used to like to get paper bills wet then spread them on a counter to dry to they’d be ‘crisp and new’. You lucky guy!

Actually, I recently lost a damp ten dollar bill. I was thinking of offering a reward, but since you’ve found it…

I’m guessing the reward was $10.

What amazingly-altruistic thing were you then planning to do with your new-found wealth, pray tell? (Remember all your bradaptationland friends out here!)
