A Promise of Summer

My school had a Book Fair yesterday. Scholastic brought in a bunch of books, and families could browse and buy. The church youth group offered a pancake breakfast to start the day off. I stayed the whole time. In between visits to the book room, I worked on homework in my classroom. It was a fun morning.

(I forgot to take a picture)

In the afternoon, I went toilet shopping. The requirements for my toilet footprint are nearly impossible to meet. I went to Lowes and to Home Depot. I may have found a toilet that works, but I didn’t have time to confirm it last night. That’ll have to be something I do today if I have time.

What I was really excited about was seeing a huge display of summer bulbs. When I see these first signs of spring, I always feel a little warmth return to my bones. A voice whispers in my soul: winter will not last forever

I think it might be time for me to plant cannas again.

Hooray for a nice Saturday! (Well, except for the toilet shopping.)

A pancake breakfast sounds nice. Usually I’m not a fan of pancakes unless I make them or they’re made for a good cause. We’re supposed to have the Waffle Man come to Seward for something or other, but we’ve had a little blizzard. I wonder if he’ll make it…
