The Lights

There’s a horrible bug on your shoulder! AAHHH! Just kidding! Happy April Fool’s Day!

So when my Christmas lights were still up in January, I just told myself that I’d take them down when Epiphany was over. Ash Wednesday came and went, and the lights were still there. At least I had turned them off by then. I’ve had multiple close calls with taking them down in the last few weeks, but never could actually get it done.

The next big deadline is Easter. It doesn’t seem right that I should have plastic icicles hanging from my porch roof after Easter. Didn’t I read somewhere that it’s traditional to take Christmas lights down on Holy Saturday?

Without the light, they just look wintry, right?

If you glued plastic flowers to those, they could be a wonderful spring decoration. Keep your options open.

You got me with the April Fools thing, too. 🙂

    Lauren’s idea is brilliant!

Or you could keep it up year round & pretend to be a Frozen enthusiast.
