I was installed as a Called teacher yesterday in church. Woo hoo! I had a script during the installation. Part of the script was to publicly say that I believe the Bible to be the true Word of God and the only source of truth. Making a public announcement of a belief I feel so strongly about was very moving.
It was also “Blessing of the Backpacks” Sunday. Kids came forward (many with their backpacks) and received a blessing from the pastor. After their blessing, they got a balloon and a pencil 🙂
After church, I got lots of words of congratulations. I also got to give a mutual congratulation to a church member who is teaching at my former school. He is being installed this morning at his school after completing the colloquy program. I have had many conversations with him, and have been encouraged by his sense of ministry.
I smiled when I read this morning’s post – so happy for (both of) you. You will be such a blessing to your students – not that you weren’t already last year!
Praying for a great launch for all of us today and a wonderful year of showin’ ’em Jesus.
Absolutely fantastic! I’m so happy for you! Does school start today or do you have more work days to prep? Either way, have a great Monday!
Up until last week, I thought today was our first day with students. It isn’t. We have half days on Wednesday and Thursday, then a full day on Friday.
God bless you! Teaching children about Jesus is giving them the “keys to heaven”. Have a great year!
Brad, you are God’s child. I am so glad that God gave you to us and that He helped us along your/His journey in your educational life to equip you to be exactly where you are. God’s blessings be with you, always!
Best wishes to all the teachers I know … those in new places, those in new-ish places, and those in the same old, same old places. Have no doubt that you all are a blessing to your schools!!!
God’s love and peace always…….
What All Of Them Said!!!! I am blessed to be your Godmother and Wish You God’s Riches Blessings ALWAYS!! <3 Aunt Bev 🙂
