Happy Birthday to my mom! Woo hoo!
A couple of weeks ago, I got some ice cream to thank school kids who came to sing in church. I had leftovers, so I put them in the freezer in the staff room. I told everyone the ice cream was there, and told them to help themselves. A few people ate some ice cream right then and there, but since then I haven’t seen any of it get taken.
Yesterday, I was considering having a Drumstick, and when I looked in the freezer, I saw this:
Hehe… Someone didn’t know the ice cream was free, and left some money in payment. I’ll put it in the offering plate in chapel today.
Yea, good ol’ Lutheran guilt. I recently had a colleague offer to pay for use of some of the Keurig K-cups I would buy for the faculty lounge (cheaper in the long run than morning stops out most places). Between waiting for a sale and using coupons, they practically pay me to buy them, so why would I take money you worked hard for
playing Wack-a-Mole or stapling Jello to wallsshepherding God’s precious children all day?Enjoy those drumsticks – inverted, they make good (temporary) dunce caps, too, I hear. (Once they start to melt…not so much.)
Happy Birthday to Mom Royuk!!
Mmmmmm…. Drumsticks are so delicious, I bet that dollar is a thank offering, not payment. I, too, want to show Drumsticks my love and appreciation.
Happy birthday, Mrs. Royuk!
