Last night was our back-to-school picnic. We have usually gone to a nearby park that has a playground made out of old tires, but that place is under construction right now, so we had it at school.
It was delightful. The conveniences of the school bathroom and the kitchen were right there. If we needed more tables or chairs, they were easily gotten. I had some great conversations with parents and some fun interactions with kids.
It was also nice that all the kids playing and adults talking and smiling drew in a few neighborhood people, who were happy to have a hamburger and some potato salad. I think it was great PR to see and be seen.
The weather was beautiful!
How beautiful! And yes, you had a little unexpected blessing by being on-site. Maybe you’ll have a few people visit the inside of the building on Sunday! 🙂
