Picture Tie

Yesterday was picture day. I forgot. When I was picking out a tie to wear, I chose one of my ties that I don’t really like. I chose it because it had blue in it, and I was wearing blue pants.

The tie has various fishing and boating pictures on it: fishing rods, boats, life preservers, deep sea fishing seats, etc. I’m sure I got this tie as a gift. Maybe it was from my church choir when I left Seattle. They each gave me a tie as a going-away present. I’ve also received ties from people who were down-sizing or retiring. They cleaned out their closets and gave them to me in a box or bag.

I have nearly four hundred ties now, so I could probably take out the ones I don’t really care for, but they remind me of the kindness of friends, so I think I’ll keep them for now. Even my fishing tie.

From a distance, they probably look like random shapes.

It’s not a bad tie at all, and now you’ve got a great story!

400 ties? I think you could start insulating your house with them. Send me a bunch and I’ll make a Christmas tree skirt for you. Or an emergency rope.

400 ties!!!!!!!! I have more than 500 superballs so can relate! LOL That’s alot!! Isn’t it nice to have a “collection” of something and have lots of it! I like Lauren’s Christmas tree skirt idea though! That would be so pretty and what a great idea! Maybe you could spare a few.
