A Tale of Two Pageants

Happy Birthday to Lloyd! Woo hoo! You guys are prime again, and I have to wait until February. I’m envious.

Yesterday instead of Bible class, everyone went to see the annual Christmas pageant that the Sunday school kids do. It was really cute. The kids did a great job, as did the adults who put it all together. It was a great way to get into the Christmas spirit.

They were trying to keep toddler baby Jesus on the stage with snacks. It mostly worked.

In the evening, I went to another church. One of my students was Balthazar in his church’s Christmas pageant and invited me to come. It was amazing. So much music! There were also dancers. I loved the dancers! And of course, there was narration and acting. It was a very well-done performance. Plus, I got to visit a church I’ve never been to.

I wish I could have taken pictures during the production. It was colorful and sparkly.

Yay for Christmas Spirit! I love the snacks for the Savior – I bet the real Mary had that issue at times. 😉

That last picture shows some work. Is that a paper backdrop or cloth? Either way, a lot of time went into that.

    Happy Birthday, Lloyd!

Lauren was invited to see one of her kids in their church’s pageant yesterday. It was great. The sound system was spotty, the heater didn’t really work and there was a fire alarm about six-seventh of the way through. It was perfect.

The wise men came from afire but they didn’t use fraction… six-sevenths
