Tried and True

My Bible study group met last night, so it was a Stay Through night in Catonsville. I spent longer than usual in my classroom in the evening, so I didn’t have a lot of time for dinner. I decided I would go to Popeye’s.

It had been a long time since my last time at Popeye’s, so I was anxious to have one of their biscuits again. Peggy told me the secret to eating Popeye’s biscuits – lick the top first. Mmm… it’s amazing… salty and buttery and delicious.

I always get tenders when I order chicken. They aren't as tasty, but there are no bones, so it's the lazy way to eat.

Hee hee – If you were in my classroom, Mrs. Sommerer would scold you about licking your biscuit. (Mrs. Sommerer is a bummerer. To be fair, it’s because the next logical preschool step is to start eating of the plate like a dog.)

I eat toast and frosted cookies upside down for that very reason – flavor on the tongue!

Oh my goodness….I can’t believe you remember that’s how I eat my Popeye’s biscuits. It is the best way! Because of that salt!

I, Too, Prefer Chicken Tenders…..Because I Don’t Like The Chicken Bones To Even Be In Sight When I Eat Chicken….Guess Growing Up On The Farm, Those “Chicken Cleanin Days” Aren’t A Pleasant Memory! Christmas Blessings & <3 Aunt Bev 🙂
