A Super Fun Day

Yesterday was packed full of fun.

After sleeping in and having a slow-motion, relaxed morning, we first stopped at a lavender farm.

This was only part of the lavender. There was much more growing in the back.

The store at the farm had lavender EVERYTHING. I tasted a few of the samples that were available. I also bought some lavender ice cream so I could taste it.

It tasted like vanilla ice cream, unless I bit down on one of the lavender buds.

They even had lavender flavored chocolate from Yoda’s favorite planet:

After the lavender farm, we headed for a winery. On the way, we stopped at a store that had a ton of items from local artists. I bought an Easter tie. I’ll save showing a picture of it for Easter.

The winery had a tasting room where you paid $7 for twenty samples. Twenty! I bought a one bottle each of my two favorite ones.

It was crowded, but everyone was very friendly.

The weather was so nice, Ed put the top down on their car for our drive up and down the winery driveway.

We went for a late lunch or early supper at an old inn that was built in 1840. It was a beautiful old house, and the food was amazing.

When we got home, we tried to watch basketball, but we were sleepy. I fell asleep before the game ended.

What, no Earl Grey cream tea? [Isn’t that made with lavender bergamot?]

Looks like this made for a terrific weekend together – glad for all of you!

They had tea with lavender, and yes it was Earl Grey, to which I said: “Yuck!” I didn’t even taste the samples. I do not care for bergamot.
