Driving to California: Day Two

Yesterday’s driving seem to go by quickly. Maybe it was because I was “in the zone” while driving. Maybe it was because so much of the scenery looked the same.

For the first part of my journey yesterday, everything was salty.

I stopped at a rest area and got a closer look. It did indeed look just like salt.

After the salt, it was mostly dry and flat and scrubby. But it was beautiful. And the sky was so big. The dry ground must easily catch fire. I saw several along the way. This was the largest:

And if I can make a comment that’s not about the scenery, I must say something about the window washers with really long handles. I don’t remember seeing these in other parts of the country. They are wonderful! You can wash all the way across the windshield!

You drove through the Bonneville Salt Flats. There’s a lot of salt there.

Hooray! I am glad you had an uneventful day. When I didn’t hear back the rest I feared the worst. Well, not the worst, but the inconcenvenient.

Have a productive day today! πŸ™‚

I’m sure you carry lots of fluids to stay hydrated, tunes to stay awake and entertained, and are preserving great memories in pictures. Congrats on completing Day Two successfully – happy trails all the way to Hollywood. (“….what?………..oh, that’s NOT why you’re driving to California? I thought an experienced actor like yourself – cite ‘Godspell’ experience for example – was off to make his fortune now under the bright lights. So, is it the Gold Rush then, or….?”) πŸ˜‰
