Welcome to Brad's online memory archives.

Seeing a Sight

I haven’t done much sight-seeing or beach-walking since school started. I’ve just been very busy.

On Friday mornings, instead of faculty devotions, we gather in groups of three and talk about how things are going and pray together. Yesterday, I talked about frustration that paperwork was building up. My prayer partners said some really nice words of encouragement, and we prayed.

When I got back to my classroom, I became aware again of the beautiful view right outside my door. I looked at it for a bit, then headed inside to get back to the papers for a little while before school started.

I have some restful things planned for the weekend. And some paperwork catching-upping.

Good for you to enjoy and realize the view! So many things we take for granted. You are so lucky to have such a great place to live and work now. Catching-upping! Love it!! Conquer those papers!!!!! Be the winner!!!! I let our filing pile up……..and I don’t know why, I have folders for everything and it’s easy to do??? Just do it!! Nike had it right.

Hang in there, Brad. If all else fails, have a week with longer-term work that’s not due to you until, say, a Thursday. That gives you a few days to catch up on what’s already come in, maybe turn around the Thursday stuff by Friday, and still have a fun-filled weekend. (Easy for me to say, with my two day/week gig that excludes lesson planning, paper grading, IEP meetings, parent conferences – for the most part – and all the other time-suckers that can take the joy out of actually teaching .) YOU CAN DO THIS!

–no extra charge for pep talks or advice BTW 😉

Ahhh…. mountains. That view is gorgeous. 🙂

I hope your weekend is just what you need it to be!
