A Merry Christmas Eve

Merry Christmas!

I had a really nice day yesterday. I started off in church. It was the Sunday school Christmas pageant. The older youth played instruments in a praise band. Andrea already left to visit family, so I directed the group. It was fun. They did a good job. I didn’t get any pictures.

Next, I worked in my classroom. I got lots of stuff done. It felt great.

There was an evening service for Christmas Eve, but it was in Lahaina. And it was at 9pm. I was going to have to stay up late for this. It was worth it though – Christmas carols and candles.

I was sure I took a picture, but it’s not showing up in my phone. Instead, I’ll show a picture of a gift one of the church members gave me. In the end, I think I was more excited to see the funny papers the gift was wrapped in. I haven’t seen funny papers in forever! What a wonderful gift!

Blessed Christmas to you, sir! (They give crepes on Christmas in Hawaii? Hmmm…might have to reconsider those no-place-tropical-thank-you retirement plans…) Safe travels to the mainland and enjoy time with loved ones. (Who wins Gus while you’re away?)

Never mind about the “Who wins Gus?” question. I just read back a few days (sorry – what with Christmas and all, I was a little behind…)

Merry Christmas! It sounds like you had a truly lovely day. I’m glad you were a part of their Christmas service, too.

What is up with having actual comics? Do they actually come in newspapers now? (I haven’t looked at a Sunday paper in years.) How does the Dilbert one end????
