I have successfully arrived in Baltimore! Yay!
Even before I left my apartment, I had checked to see if my flight over the ocean was in an airplane that had screens in the seats. It was. Yay! But I was already at the airport in Kahului when I realized I had forgotten my earbuds. Dang it!
I asked at the gate if they would have loaner earbuds on the plane. He said they stock them when the plane is on the mainland, so the flight away from Maui may have some left over, but may not. Dang it!
I decided I would not gamble my ability to watch movies. I went to the nearest airport gift shop and got some earbuds. They were $30. Dang it!
They also have a microphone, so I can use them to talk on the phone, which is nice.
I had trouble getting comfortable on my flight across the ocean. I dozed a little, but didn’t truly sleep. On the flight from Dallas to Baltimore, I slept the entire time. I think I did that last time I flew from Maui. Maybe that’s just my thing.
Yesterday evening was mostly just a “settle in and be jetlagged” evening.
Why, airports, why? Just because they know travelers are trapped and have no other options, prices are jacked up so high. That is irritating.
There are so many kinds of neck pillows/supports for plane travel. I lurk on travel sites and secretly judge each kind. The one I think is the dumbest is the wedge that sits on your tray. There is a hoodie with all kinds of hidden things inside, and that looks so gadget-y.
Ha! I take it all back. The dumbest is the ‘kangaroo’-thing. I don’t know what it’s called, but you’ll easily pick it out.
