Settlement Soon

The title company that is working with the sale of my house in Baltimore emailed me the closing documents for the sale. I was to fill them out, have them notarized, and use the included label to overnight them via FedEx.

This normally might overwhelm me, but since it’s the summertime, and since I’m relaxing in beautiful Nebraska, I did it! I actually looked up account numbers and called people and checked boxes. Then I actually went to the bank and signed on the dotted lines while a notary watched me.

This is almost the last thing I have to do! There are a few more bills to be paid, but as far as the house itself goes, this is it. The balance of the money from the sale will be automatically wired to my account. Then that’s it! Woo hoo! It has taken SO long!

Woo-hoo! I am so happy for you! One more thing off the list and you’re that much closer to being done! (Also, I’m flattered that you called Nebraska ‘beautiful’. You’re too kind, sir.)

We’d been wondering what the status was on The Olde Homestead, as someone who drove down Evergreen the other day said the For Sale sign was gone – we figured either it had finally sold or you’d changed your mind altogether. I imagine Denis will be happy to be able to move nearer his place of employment as well. Thanking God with you for smooth sailing so far and praying this continues.
