A Roof with a View

The seventh and eighth grade went on a field trip to attend a County Council meeting yesterday. It was really interesting to me. I think it was actually pretty interesting to the kids as well.

One of our kids’ dad is a council member, so we got the executive tour of the building, which is the tallest on Maui. Nine floors! Even more exciting than the view from the mayor’s floor (the top floor), was the view from the roof. They took us too the roof! It was beautiful!

The view from the roof also gave me a look at a house that is currently for sale that I did a drive-by of. The house itself is charming, but the location and the parking weren’t quite what I was looking for. I’ve circled it in red below:

The structure of that roof is so striking. I like how the open spaces ‘frame’ the view.

Is your house the one on Market Street? If so, it is quite charming, but not having any parking would be a pain in the bucket. Dang it.
