Happy Fourth of July! Yay!

Yesterday my niece Alicia got married. It was a lovely wedding. I was sitting close to the front, and had a great view of the altar. The chancel of St. John is so beautiful. It’s full of art from the Concordia professors. The altar, baptismal font, and pulpit are all decorated with mosaic. I love mosaic. At one point, I was hoping to dabble in it a little. Maybe some day…

I was on the end of the pew, and there were tissues there in case people got teary. I laughed a little when I saw the box.

Firstly, I’ve only ever seen Angel Soft toilet tissue, not facial tissue. Secondly, “Professional Series”? Professional tissues?

The reception was fun. I thought it was hilarious that since Aunt Justina couldn’t be there, she sent a cardboard standup of herself. It was also hilarious that everyone was taking pictures with it, and dancing with it on the dance floor. Ha!
