Cracking the Door

It has been hot here lately. I don’t run my air conditioners when I’m at school, so when I get home I turn them on right away. Even with a few hours of running, I’m sometimes a little warm, especially in my bedroom.

I recently found out that if my bedroom door is closed, the air conditioner in there does a lot better job of cooling things.

When my dryer wasn’t working, I hung a sheet on the door to dry. I’ve discovered it lets me leave the door open a crack for Gus to come in, but it blocks the space a little to keep the cool air in.

It’s still a little warm sometimes at bedtime, but by the middle of the night, it’s blissfully cool.

You know that I want to tell you to just pin that sheet up permanently. Sheet curtains are the wave of the future!!

We run the air in the house of course but also have an ac window unit in the bedroom along with a fan going on the floor… and we keep the door shut…… it’s breezy for sure! Maybe you could add a fan in your room to help with the cooling…. the noise is hypnotizing as well.
