Finding the Limit

Yesterday before school, we were having faculty devotions, and BJ (the early drop-off supervisor) brought us Krispy Kreme donuts. I of course ate one.

But as I was walking back to my classroom, I was talking with Josh about how I don’t enjoy them as much as I used to. I never decide I’ll just go and get a donut. But if there are a box of them in front of me, I eat one without thinking.

Midway through the morning, Benji stopped by my classroom. It was his birthday, and he brought Krispy Kremes, and was offering me one. I took it and ate it immediately. After all, I couldn’t be rude…

Then at lunch time, Zara stopped by. It was her birthday, and she brought Krispy Kremes, and was offering me one. I took it and… put it on my desk. I couldn’t eat three. I just couldn’t.

False. You can eat three. You may feel miserable, but what about the donut, doesn’t it have feelings also?

      Ha! That’s funny!

I get it, and I am impressed that you found your limit. However, let me share my thoughts that a day-old donut is not a bad thing, especially with a cup of coffee. It’s not a great thing, but not a bad thing. Perhaps it could be today’s donut?

Dude, i can eat 3 in a row and be thinking about another one!! They are just air with glaze…. mark and i go eat sushi and then go through the Krispy Kreme drive thru, get a dozen, and taunt people at the red lights as we stuff our faces on the way home. I try not to limit myself with any limits…..

Haven’t had a KK since the store on Belair Rd by Putty Hill closed eons ago, and my life is still complete. But I rejoice with you on this serendipitous chain of events and your ensuring discoveries about taste preferences. Never too old to learn something, are we? And God bless all the birthday celebrators!
