Last year, I carried my lunch to and from school all year in a single paper bag. It was miraculous how long it lasted.
This year, I tried the same thing. The first bag was from a store in Nebraska. I didn’t have another one of those, so I used a Gap bag instead.
It has only lasted one quarter. It tore the other day when my gym bag strap tore through the top. I’ve been using a big grocery bag for the last week. It isn’t a good match. Maybe I’ll have to go to Nebraska to get another one of those long-lasting ones…
Yes, come here for our bags! (We’ll take any reason to see you. 🙂 )
I am impressed with your re-using skills. You are surprisingly eco-conscious!
I love those kinds of bags. I use them for my little garbage can in my car. Yes, wow at how long it lasted! Tennessee has bags like that too!!
Repurposing is wonderful – sorry the GAP let you down, but don’t give up! I wager Hawaii has some decent replacements so you needn’t wait until your next flight to the mainland to bring a lunch to school.
BTW, would have tried to call you last night after Bible Study but I’d left my phone at school…fully charged, too. Sad. Maybe tonight…?
