After church yesterday, I decided to get some take-out food for lunch. Since I was at the grocery store, I stopped at a burger place that was next door.
One of the offerings said something about beef and smoked gouda. It sounded delicious. And then I noticed it was on the part of the menu where all the burgers had two grilled cheese sandwiches for buns. It sounded like too much, but I decided to order it anyway.
It was too much. I took the top grilled cheese sandwich off, and ate it with just the bottom grilled cheese sandwich. It was still too much. I won’t be ordering that one again…
Fascinating. All those things on their own would be great, but yes – too much at once. I want to support that kind of inventive thinking – donuts for buns, fried chicken for buns, waffles for buns – but it just isn’t good.
Live and learn. Indeed – sometimes you reallycan have too much of a good thing.
Now I want a good grilled cheese, though…
